Fit and finish is outstanding, The cutouts and welding are excellent. It does mount to the bed frame rather than the main frame and this is probably why they have the disclaimer that the tow shackles are for looks only. Any attempt to use them for towing or tie down will most likely cause the bumper to move in the slotted mounting holes. One of the cons of the mounts. Since the holes are slotted for up down adjustment to level it no matter how tight the mounting bolts are the unit will most likely move. A rough trail may get it to move but it will get pinned if that happens.
Since the unit tips with the bed it adds weight to the rear assisting in bed dump
Installation is very strait forward. There were no instructions packed with the but there is an assembly drawing here that is not much more than a parts list. I didn't need it but to try and figure out what two plastic cup like pieces were for. They are not listed on the parts drawing that I saw. The only other beef I have is the cheesy low test forward mounts to the bed frame. They provide two different sets of rivnuts and if I had the installation tool for the better ones I would have went that route. Obviously how factory bumpers are put on. Not really any other way to do it.
Over all very satisfied. BTW this unit is offered at many other online shops at the same price. I prefer OEM direct.
The Kawasaki Ridge being a first year machine few aftermarket products are being made but will definitely stay tuned here for more.
